We provide free estimates if you provide us with everything that we need.
- Written report of sewer inspection
- Video link to sewer inspection - see our "WHAT WE DON'T DO" page for recommendations
- Lateral has been located (the sewer line location has been marked by paint or flags in the yard) - see our "WHAT WE DON'T DO" page for recommendations
- Problem has been marked (if there is one specific area that needs to be repaired, its location has been marked in the yard; if there are several problems with your lateral, you will most likely need a complete replacement rather than a simple repair)
- The door code if the house is vacant / someone available on short notice to allow entry to view where the lateral exits the house
Even with all of the above provided, estimates will take about 3 hours. We are a small, local company and have to visit the property between the other jobs that we are working on, so unless it is an emergency, we will not be able to look at your project the same day that you submit your request.
When is there a fee for an estimate?
- We will go to your property one time for free. If you did not provide us with a door code or are not there when we arrive and we have to make repeated trips to the home, there is a $200 fee for each additional time we have to visit the property.
- We are very busy with other jobs so if we have to arrange our work schedule around setting an appointment to meet at the house in order to give an estimate, there is a $200 fee for doing so.
- If you do not provide us with a written report and video link, and we have to spend an additional hour to put a camera in your sewer line to inspect what the issues are, there is a $200 fee for doing so. (We do not record the camera footage. If you want a video to give to any companies that you may want an estimate from, see our "WHAT WE DON'T DO" page for recommendations.)
- If the sewer lateral had not been located and marked in the yard, and we have to spend additional time (usually about 2 hours), to locate the lateral, there is a $350 fee to do so.
In addition to the above, due to material price instability, our estimate are only valid for 14 days. If you are not prepared to do the sewer work within that time frame, please wait to get an estimate until you are ready for the work to be completed. If we provide an estimate and we do not receive the signed contract and down payment within the 14-day window and you need us to send you an updated estimate at a later date, there is a $200 fee for having to recalculate the project costs and have the office write-up a new estimate. This fee is in addition to any material cost increases.
